This pouch was designed to fit a smart phone that has a large cover applied to it so if you don't have a cover on your phone obviously don't bother. My HTC sensation with a ballistic case fits snugly in this belt pouch. I only have to be sure to push it down into the case far enough to close the flap. Thought that I might have problems turning the screen on by accident while taking it in and out but none so far. I would imagine that any smaller phones like the I-phone may actually fit with too much room to spare. Quality is holding up after a week now so far.
