However, they've failed miserably at providing a screen protector that gives any sort of reasonable utility.The case itself fits well enough, and is easy to install/remove. The material is nice and smooth, feels good in the hand, and adds a little bulk to the iPhone. (It goes into my jeans pocket with some difficulty). The volume and hold buttons are covered very well, and I haven't had any problems with them. Additionally, the hole for the headphones works well enough for my Shure earbuds. My biggest problem with this case on the whole is that it just isn't very durable. I accidentally dropped it from about 16" to some rough pavement, and much to my sadness the rubber case had a chunk torn out of it, and there were some other deep scuffs from the impact. I love this case. I wear jeans most of the time, so I didn't like the real rubbery silicone cases pulling the insides of my pockets out each time I pulled the phone out, yet I didn't want a hard case so slick that it didn't have any grip. This case is a nice combination of both. Of course it doesn't offer the "toughbook" like protection of the otterbox, but if you don't need that super protection, you should be good. I've dropped my phone twice since I've had the case, both time just being clumsy and in a hurry while taking it out of my pocket. After the initial cringe, to my satisfaction I picked up the phone and although there was a little scuff on the corner of the case (which buffed out easily), the phone was fine. So far I'm happy with the purchase.. I previously had the Belkin sliding hard case, but I wanted something different because it was scratching the backside and chrome surrounding of my phone. I did some research and watched some videos before I bought this case.As you may have seen, this case is like silicone but it's a little harder so it has a bit of plastic feel to it. The outside is a little slick yet grippy enough so that it doesn't slide all over the place. The fit is almost perfect too. I'm not sure how it it'll be after some more use, but hopefully it can handle the wear and tear pretty well. And for 10 bucks cheaper than most cases I've seen, I would get this. Oh and it does come with a screen protector. I wasn't aware since I wasn't really looking for a new screen protector. |
