This is clearly evident in the area of protective cases for the iPhone 4. inCase did not have a slider for the iPhone 4 when it came out, so I tried out a few other cases before I bought the Slider. I generally found those other cases annoying, of poor quality and trashed them after a week. The inCase Slider, which I have now had on my iPhone 4 for a few weeks, is the best case for the iPhone 4 that I have used. But I can only give it four stars because it could be so much better, and it does not compare to the work of art that the 3GS Slider is. When I got my iPhone 4 just this last Christmas, I got Apple's Bumper case along with it. I thought it was ok at first, but after seeing all of the negative reviews about it, such as ones stating that only Apple's connectors for headphones and the dock connector were only supported, I thought those weren't true. I was wrong. That is one of the biggest flaws with the Bumper. A few days after using the Bumper and discovering these caveats, I took it off my iPhone, put it in my nightstand drawer, and ordered this case. Boy, was I happy I did! This case blows Apple's Bumper out of the water! The things that I like most about it are the fact that they have better cutouts for the headphone jack and sleep/wake button, and an opening for the ring/vibrate switch and volume buttons (so I don't have a hard time switching my iPhone from ring/silent, another thing that was poorly executed on the Bumper). This appears to be a cheap imitation with the cutouts for the buttons and charger sized wrong, which allow for difficult access to the power and volume buttons and that do not allow for the charger plug to snap in and lock. Due to this, if the phone is moved while charging or syncing...the plug becomes disengaged. The inside of this case is also different from the 2 that purchased from Incase.I would say that this is NOT a case made by Incase, but some knock off. |
